To get your project underway we need some information from you!

The plans you supply can either create a very smooth process which means a fast turn around time, or it could mean holdups due to inconsistent or not enough information.

If initial plans do not achieve the minimum star rating for your climate zone, we will work with you to ensure compliance (no extra cost) we also supply you with a recommendations list of improvements you could do to create a more comfortable living space – free of charge.

Site Plan showing:

  • Fall of land.
  • Direction of true north and orientation of the house.
  • Distance to and height of approved fences or screens.
  • Location of the property including lot number

  • Insulation R values and materials to walls, ceilings ,and floors
  • Sarking, foil or blanket to the underside of roofing and walls.
  • Types of floor coverings i.e. carpet, concrete, floor tiles, polished boards.
  • Extent of weather stripping to doors and windows.
  • Any proposed external shutters or louvers
  • Finish color utilized on the roof and walls
  • Lining materials utilized on walls and ceilings.

Energy Ratings for Home Extensions & House Renovations

Building Legislations requires Home extensions and House renovations to comply with minimum Energy Rating requirements. To assess the compliance for extensions and renovations we require full working drawings showing existing dwelling, proposed extension or renovation and a full window/glazed door schedule. If the extension or alterations is well under 1/2 of the existing home size it may not suite software modelling and a professional opinion may be needed, contact us about this directly to help with the process.
